Suppressor are always a plus. Shooters, especially snipers will vouch for that. Back in the day, only special ops are issued these. Snipers in the armed forces are left to their own devices to hide their presence. I remember reading about how snipers would lay towels under their rifle's barrel to minimize the dust after a shot is made. This can be cumbersome and isn't really practical. Special ops on the other hand is a different lot. They rely on stealth and silence. They take out their targets quietly. They use silencers to dispose of human obstacles in their path. This conceals their presence and paves the way for a successful operation. Their weapon of choice is a suppressed .22 LR. Its small and light but highly effective.
Special ops now use suppressors on their M4s. Assault teams carry these highly modified carbines in their missions. It enhances their capabilities. I've seen some very good suppressors. SWR suppressors are some of the best around. They carry both the .22 LR pistol and the 5.56 cal. rifle suppressor. They are both great for tactical or practical shooting. I've seen them perform on the field and range. Both are very very impressive. Sturdy and very reliable, law enforcement personnel are taking a very close look at them. Even the average Joe loves them.
