Warm And Toasty

I remember a trip I took to Canada to visit my recovering cousin. It was late December and the weather was just too cold for me. I requested for a heated mattress pad to keep me warm and toasty. I never imagined Montreal could be so cold. I'm used to winter but not like this. I don't remember how many shirts I had on just to keep me from freezing whenever I go out. If my cousin had not asked for me to come, I would never have made the trip.

I'm almost finished rewiring my den. I've already rewired my study. I'd like to keep my wires organized for easy access. To do this, I use a wire duct. This way, I can easily know if a line is bad or damaged. I could then easily repair or replace it. I don't like my wires scattered or exposed. This makes the wires prone to damage. We all know how dangerous damaged electrical wires are. I always go for a clean layout for all my cables and wires.

On a recent trip to Singapore, I witnessed a young boy jump to his death. I asked my Singaporean friend why boys as young as the one I saw would do such a thing. He told me that it's mostly caused by depression. These children get so depressed if they get low grades in school. I was so shocked. I told him that in the US,there are very good depression rehab treatment centers. I guess their society puts too much pressure on students to do well in school. They may have some of the best schools in the world but obviously do not know how to see through their kids.

If you think diesel vehicles are pushovers, think again. Diesel powered vehicles can now be modified and compete against gas powered cars. Ford has a race-bred rally car that runs on diesel. Diesel engines used to be simply workhorses. When you see a truck, it's perceived as a utility vehicle. It's only role is to transport. Those years are long gone. Diesel is now widely used to power all kinds of vehicles. We might even see diesel engines in high performance cars. Cars that oozes with character. Who knows, even the Lambos and Ferrarismay someday use diesel engines. If diesel modifications continue to grow, a new pop culture may soon emerge.

I'm thinking of enhancing the music in my study. I work better when there's music playing while I work. I relaxes me and makes me think better. It also makes me more creative. I already know which subwoofer speakers I'll be installing. They would go well with my existing sound system. I can't wait to fill my study with inspiring music.

Changing light bulbs can be a tricky job. I hate standing on a perfectly good table or chair. I bought a couple of 2 step stools just for this. One for the ground floor and the other for the second floor of our house. Now I don't have to destroy any chairs or tables. I don't have to ruin cushions or scratch finishes.
